Coronaviruses area group of viruses, which can cause mild to very severe illness in patients, the first known case of coronavirus, emerged in the year 2003 known as SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) epidemic in China and again an outbreak in the year 2012 in Saudi Arabia known as MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome).
On 31st Dec 2019, the Chines authority alerted the WHO (World Health Organization) about Coronavirus that can cause severe respiratory illness named as COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2.
It is considered that COVID-19 first transmission to human happened in the city of Wuhan, China & Spread across the world within no time.
Till date, recorded case of COVID-19 have surpassed 799,677 people, in which 38,720 died, 169,974 recovered and 590,983 are active coronavirus patient and the numbers of active patients are increasing every second.
80% of COVID-19 patients don’t require any special treatment, they might experience flu symptoms, but 20% may experience severe symptoms, such as coughing, breath shortness or breathing problems and others.
Mostly old ages people or people who have medical issues, such as diabetes, respiratory disease (Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Chronic Bronchitis, Emphysema, Lung Cancer, Cystic Fibrosis/Bronchiectasis, Pneumonia and or Pleural Effusion) cardiovascular disease are more at risk of developing serious illness due to COVID-19.
The best measure to slow down person to person transmission of COVID-19 is social distancing. As COVID-19 virus can easily spread through droplets of saliva while talking or when the infected person coughs or sneezes the discharge from the nose can infect a person nearby.
For now, there is no line of treatment or medicines available to treat COVID-19, though clinical trials are underway to find a generic medicine that can be made available.

The symptoms might vary from person to person, a healthy person might experience mild flu or respiratory symptoms and will recover without the need of any specific treatment, while at the same place people who have a medical history or those who are more than 60 years of age, are at high risk of developing severe symptoms and require specialized medical treatment to recover from COVID-19 virus.
